Well, this journey began in 2010 when fresh-faced midwestern-transplant Peter Dering took a 4-month trip around the world. It was during this adventure that Peter discovered the frustrations of lugging around a large camera - a real hassle to his adventures. Upon returning home, he made a bold decision: quitting his job to dedicate 10 months to crafting a solution.
This passion project culminated in the creation of Peak Design, a brand driven by a mission to redefine gear functionality. Here are our top picks for the adventurous souls out there.

Backpacking, Road Trips, and Everything In Between
For avid explorers capturing every moment of their journey, the Peak Design Mobile Tripod is a must-have.
Designed by Robb Jankura, Senior Design Engineer at Peak Design, this tripod is the result of dedicated work. Robb locked himself in his basement workshop for seven months (imagine devotion!). You must be curious why. Well, he was the lead engineer on Peak Design's TriPod which won lots of awards (and hearts).
The Tripod is lightweight and compact, very easy to use and works with MagSafe phones and cases, making it perfect for backpacking, road trips, and everything in between.
It is important to note that Peak Design's products are interconnected and designed to work together. For example, the Motorcycle Bar Mount and Out Front Bike Mount both require a Peak Design case and can be used along side the Everyday Case for iPhone 15.
